The
paint shall be applied directly on the bare drum. Metal paint
measured to suit for cold application by manually operated
pnuematic automatic spray guns. The spraying viscosity 30
- 40secs at 30deg C ( FORD cup test). The paint should have
a quick solvent characteristics as flash of time is limited
to one minute. The total volatile not ot exceed 52%. Stoving
temperature approximately 110deg C stoving time 5 minutes
. Flash point not less than 95deg F ( 35deg C). |

Cold applied bitumen caulking compound in putty form for water
proofing purposes, filling cracks and stopping leakages in
mansonry and wooden structures, for protection of underground
tanks etc., It remains plastic for a considerble length of
time . Ideal for use in expansions, contractions and where
vibrations are expected. Used in GI and AC corrugated sheet
overlapping joint and over the holding bolts, also recommended
to plug fully the gaps in tiles formed due to sagging of the
battens or any other reasons. Locate the cracks and the roof
and widen to V section and apply the leak stop by hand or
with a trowel overlapping the cracks by atleast 25mm on either
side. A fast moving material to stop the leakages in all types
of roofs. |

Cold Sticking Rubber Emulsion is used for the fixing of framed
polystyrene (Thermocole) insulex soft boards and fibre glass.
Insulation slabs to all forms of structures where bituminous
adhesive is advisable.Cold sticking rubber emulsion may be
used to stick insulation sheets on to concrete timer or metal
and also to other insulation sheets. It suits of use in cold
storage too, to ensure good adhesion to walls and sealing
and may also be used for thermocole section used for the insulation
of refrigeration pipe works.Special grades are available for

One of the major factors contributing to increase the ruber
production is tapping of rubber throughout the year.In order
to overcome the difficulties of tapping rubber during monsoon,
Rainguard is applied on the rubber trees for the best results.
Rainguarding should be very effective which depends upon the
quality of the adhesive used for fixing polythene sheet apart
from providing water proof joint and also be harmless to the
trees. Well guard adhesive CA product of Southern Tar Products
suits this requirement perfectly.
It is a bitminous compound used as a cold applied adhesive
fixing polythene sheet as rain guard in rubber trees and Kote
used for protecting rubber trees. |

Road
Emulsion / Rubber Tar |
When
Bitumen is dispersed in water in minute particles it is called
bitminious emulsion.Emulsion is in fluid form and is brushable
consistency at normal atmospheric temperature and no heating
is required. Bituminous emulsion are non toxic and environmental
friendly. Road Emulsion is mainly recommended for surface
dressing - tack coat and grouting. A Road emulsion's breaking
on agregate results in a strong absorption on the surface
and has a water displacing effect resulting in strong adhesion
of the depositted bitumen to the agregate thus attaining an
anti-stripping property in the process. |

Black Lead Free Acid Alkali Water and Chlorine Resistance

The
Material is used for the protection of apparatus, equipments,
machines and drinking water tanks. The Material in this specification
was so far covered as Type II of IS 158 / 1968. This created
some difficulty in supplying the right material and therefore
decided to have two separate specifications covering each
type of material separately and accordingly Type I of the
material is under 158 / 1968 indented for painting of Funnels,
Boilers, Apparatus etc., has been covered in IS 158 / 1981.
This standard covers the material intended for painting of
apparatus, equipments, machines etc.,
The Material confirming to this specification would
be suitable for painting of drinking water tanks also as tested
by the method given in IS standard. |
